WRRC Subsidy System for Main Class Free Style and BW Main Class Couples
As part of its long-term commitment to the sustainable development of top-level categories which enable our participation in high level sport competitions like World Games, the WRRC has established a structured subsidy system to support couples competing in the RR Main Class Free Style and BW Main Class categories.
This marks the second consecutive year in which this subsidy system has been successfully implemented. The initiative was introduced for the 2024 competition season, and following its positive implementation, the system has now been fully applied and completed for the 2025 season, confirming WRRC’s intention to make this support mechanism a stable and predictable element of its financial structure.
At the end of each competition year, WRRC conducts a detailed and transparent analysis of:
- the total number of couples participating in RR Main Class Free Style and BW Main Class,
- all WRRC competitions held for each category during that year.
Based on this data, a proportional calculation is made, and the total collected funds are distributed according to the actual participation of couples in each category.
The allocated subsidy amounts are transferred by WRRC to the respective national federations. These funds are strictly marked and must be used exclusively to cover costs related to RR Main Class Free Style and BW Main Class couples who actively participated in WRRC competitions.
To ensure full transparency and accountability:
- National federations are required to submit an invoice to WRRC for the allocated amount.
- Together with the invoice, federations must provide a short report clearly stating:
- which couple(s) received support,
- and for what specific purposes the funds were used (e.g. travel, accommodation, or other sporting or competition-related expenses).
WRRC reserves the right to reclaim the allocated funds if they are not used in accordance with these principles.
WRRC would like to express its sincere appreciation to all national federations for their cooperation and responsible implementation of this system, and to all couples and athletes whose participation at WRRC competitions makes this subsidy mechanism possible. Your commitment, consistency, and contribution are essential to the continued growth and stability of Rock’n’Roll and Boogie Woogie at Main Class level.
By clearly communicating how this subsidy system functions and by applying it consistently over multiple seasons, WRRC aims to ensure that all stakeholders—athletes, coaches, clubs, and national federations—fully understand the mechanism and can rely on its fairness, transparency, and continuity, while together investing in the long-term development of our sport.
