Dear all,
As we prepare for the upcoming competitions, we would like to remind all dancers and coaches to pay close attention to the current WRRC Dress Code and to ensure that all costumes are fully compliant before arriving at the competition.
We ask all dancers and coaches to check especially carefully the categories in which there are specific restrictions regarding the use of skin-colour material or lycra on certain parts of the costume.
Coaches are kindly asked to review costumes in advance with their dancers and to make sure that the applicable category illustrations and restrictions are respected. Please note as well that makeup is not allowed in the Children category.
Our goal is to start the season in a consistent and rule-compliant way, so that all dancers, coaches and officials work with the same clear understanding and so that avoidable issues are reduced to a minimum. We therefore strongly encourage all members to review the current WRRC Dress Code carefully in advance and to use the document published on the WRRC website as the reference point for preparation.
In addition, the WRRC Music Commission would like to share the following important reminder:
Dear members,
In preparation for the upcoming competitions, we wish to draw your attention to a key requirement: the audio quality of the music used in competition mixes.
Sound quality constitutes an integral component of the performance. An unbalanced or poorly prepared mix may adversely affect the perception of the dancers’ performance by both judges and the audience. It is therefore essential that particular care be given to this aspect.
Furthermore, it should be noted that insufficient audio quality does not only impact judges and spectators but may also negatively affect the image of the organizer. Poor sound is frequently perceived as resulting from the sound system or the event organization, thereby creating an unjustified negative impression of the overall quality of the event.
In this regard, the following requirements must be observed:
* Each track must be properly normalized prior to the creation of the mix to ensure a consistent and balanced overall sound level.
* Normalization applied solely to the final mix is insufficient and does not correct volume discrepancies between individual tracks.
* The submission of excessively “loud” tracks is unnecessary and strongly discouraged. Current playback systems and platforms apply loudness normalization standards and will automatically reduce overly loud material, without any benefit.
* Attention must be paid to the overall balance of the mix, the smoothness of transitions, and the absence of distortion, clipping, or other audio defects.
Please be advised that any music presenting inadequate audio quality, including but not limited to volume imbalance, distortion, clipping, or improper normalization, may be rejected.
We kindly request that these requirements be strictly observed in order to ensure optimal and fair conditions for all participants, as well as to uphold the professional standard and image of the events.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely,
Music Commission
With best regards,
